Kylie’s new read fits her personality perfectly and is written by the talented animator Alberto Corral from Dreamworks Animation (Kung Fu Panda 2, Shrek Forever After, and more). My Monster Burrufu is a charming book about a young girl, Olivia, and her monstrous discovery!

Geared toward ages 8-12, My Monster Burrufu is adorable and I think perfect for reading to younger child as well. This chapter book already features an inviting and charming story full of humor and love, but also includes the most adorable illustrations from artist Alessandra Sorrentino. It’s a great book about not judging others by the appearance, and Kylie and I both have really enjoyed it. It’s super cute, and some of our favorite parts include when Olivia sets a trap of cookies for Burrufu, or when she sets up a diversion pretending to be unconscious to help Burrufu break out of jail. The end of the book is very sentimental and such a touching and heart-warming ending.
