Our latest literary adventure is Alberto Corral’s new chapter book, “My Monster Burrufu”. [...] a delightful tale about an unusual friendship between Olivia and the monster she finds living in her new home. This book celebrates our differences (monsters included!) and the importance of building self-confidence. As a mom, I love the message of overcoming your fears and pushing past prejudice. It’s an important lesson for our children to learn, and one that is equally important for adults to be reminded of!

Graham is a bit on the young end for this book, but he loved the pictures and talking about what he heard. Recommended for ages 8-12, this book is full of teachable moments, mixed with adorable characters and wit.
